Consider heat exchangers for heating your pool or spa. Use your hydronic heat pump as the heat source during the swimming season.
This application is generally recommended for smaller pools and spas up to 30,000 litres. For larger pools, consider a dedicated swimming pool heat pump with its own internal heat exchanger.
Connect your heat exchanger to your pool filter pump for circulating water through the central pipe. Then connect a separate hydronic circuit to your heat pump for hot water to flow around the central pipe. This enables heat to be exchanged from one to the other when operating.
